Philip M. Hof is a trial lawyer, one of the few lawyers in the Lehigh Valley who is a board-certified Civil Trial Specialist. Mr. Hof is a member of the County Bar Associations of both Northampton and Lehigh Counties. In practice since 1980, Mr. Hof represents individuals injured as the result of negligence or malpractice. His experience includes having served as law clerk for the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas and also serving as President of the Northampton County Bar Association. He is a governor of the Pennsylvania Association of Justice (Formerly known as the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association) and is an occasional faculty member to other lawyers.

Mr. Hof has earned an av rating through Martindale Hubbell, the leading national lawyer directory, indicating the highest rating for competency and ethics that is awarded.

Mr. Hof has also been selected for inclusion in the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 editions of the Super Lawyers publication by Law & Politics and Philadelphia Magazine. In April of 2004, Mr. Hof was recognized by the Association of Trial Layers of America for his pro bono  representation before the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund of the family of an electrical engineer who perished when the Towers collapsed.

A significant portion of Mr. Hof's practice includes commercial litigation in state and federal courts. These cases often involve issues regarding injunctions, employment contracts, trade secret theft, wrongful interference with the business of another and breaches of contract for failure to perform as promised. Representative ongoing business clients include Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti, Night Vision Depot, Inc., Lexus of Lehigh Valley, Cummings Veterinary Hospital and A&H Sportswear.  Recent representative litigation clients include Enter.net, Data Link Corporation, Ashley Development Corporation and Service Electric Cable Television.

Mr. Hof serves as an arbitrator or mediator to decide or help to settle disputes that attorneys and their clients have submitted to him either before or after suit has been filed.

Mr. Hof lives in Palmer Township. He is married and has one son, two daughters and two beloved Golden Retrievers.  He enjoys running, having completed three New York City Marathon's, and more recently, as a member of Team In Training, the Philadelphia Triathlon. He shares his professional time with community organizations including the Fund to Benefit Children and Youth, Inc., the Spring Garden Children's School, and the Valley Youth House of the Lehigh Valley.
